Mechanical Engineering Are higher ranked Engineering schools (for undergrad) worth it? Hello, I'm a senior in HS in the college application season. Professors should generally support their students, not make it harder for them. Engineering students weed themselves out anyway. Either through lack of effort or lack of comprehension. Oh absolutely. My professors usually let us have a two-sided cheat sheet with formulas and things (no solved problems) to take in with us. Once virtual exams hit, suddenly my two-sided cheat sheet had several chapters worth of formulas and applications. Engineering is far too large of a profession for it to be dominated by statistical outliers of high intelligence. The people you perceive as being far smarter than you are very likely just people who are more confident, have a more optimal learning approach, better study habits, or greater interest in the subject. Even new Trane systems don't last. Lennox sucks. Carrier sucks. They all are engineered to last 10-15 years. That's why I prefer the best cheap option, which in my opinion is Goodman. 16. If you measure the pressure at any point between the high and low spots, you'll get a pressure that is somewhere in between. If there's no flow, the pressure will equalize and you'll get the same reading everywhere. Cal3 for the most part is integration and derivatives for multivariavbles. I enjoy some of my classes, and I find others mind-numbingly boring. At my school we take 1 year of general engineering, where we got to experience classes from a variety of disciplines. I found that I enjoyed chemical engineering classes the most, and decided to make that my major. Long answer: Engineering is one of the most valuable undergrad degrees you can have when it comes to getting jobs or going to grad school. You can also tailor classes to what you're interested in, especially in a broader major like mechanical or electrical. Try taking college level calculus and physics courses.
